Maternity Leave R.100, 101 & 102
- From 1-04-09 this leave is granted to female Government Servants on full pay for a maximum period of 180 days R.100.
- Female recruits through PSC who join duty within 180 days from their date of delivery (other than on account of miscarriage) shall, on joining, be granted from the next day the balance of M/L admissible as on the date of joining duty subject to the following conditions.
- (a) Holidays/Vacation falling immediately after the date of joining service cannot be prefixed to the leave.
- (b) A certificate from the medical officer who attended the delivery showing the date of delivery along with medical certificate of health as prescribed in Rule 13 Part I KSRs should be produced.
- This is also granted in the case of miscarriage including abortion for a period not exceeding six weeks and for hystrectomy (uterus removal) for 45 days. R. 101. This leave can be combined with any other kind of leave and MC is not necessary for such leave not exceeding 60 days in continuation. LWA without MC upto 60 days will be countedfor granting increment. R. 102. Leave salary as admissible for EL under R.92.

ReplyDeleteSure, no medical certificate shall be necessary for grant of any leave for a period not exceeding sixty days in continuation of maternity leave

ReplyDeletemy wife delivered a baby on 2nd october 2016. baby expired on 4 th october 2016. She had sanctioned L W A from june 2016 to spetember 30 th 2016 for a period of 90 days. she applied for L W A for another L W A from september 1 st owards untill the delivery in continuation of the daid leave. During the period she delivered a baby on 2 nd october when she was 24 weeks and 4 days pregnent. Baby expired on 4th october 2016. Whether she is eligible for 180 days maternity leave or 45 days abortion leave. How should she apply for the leave? anticipating an urgent reply. regards

ReplyDeleteMy wife deliverd on 28th june2016.she was on long leave in govt.service.now she is join back with service on nov 9th.the application for cancelling leave submitted on april 2016.but department became late appointed.now can get maturnity leave?
ReplyDeleteCan I avail maternity leave from the next day of joining in service in a post for which first six months is training period? The appointment is considered to be provisional till the completion of training and no leaves other than LWA are granted during this period. Will be eligible for maternity leave benefits during such a training period

ReplyDeleteI am working in a Pvt company in infoPark. Currently I am under maternity leave from Feb 7th to May 9th. I delievered on Jan 10, took annual leave for that period which I had in my leave Balance. My doubt is whether I am eligible for maternity leave extension from 3 to 6 months as per the new rule effective from 1st April 2017, kindly help with the apt rule.
ReplyDeleteWife took maternity leave 2 months before delivery and 4 months later ..took another 2 months till my son 6 months back..is there any provision to extend the leave for 2 more months ...lwa or any other ..does this need dhs permission
